Walking in a Winter Wonderland

I rarely trust the local weather people. Last night, they were predicting a wintry mix that would end in snow. I didn't believe it until we were heading up to Chevy Chase in the late morning to run some quick errands and the snow started falling. It wasn't sticking to the ground, so my cynicism re-emerged. But a little later, as we headed out to Northern Virginia, it was really falling. By early afternoon, a couple of inches had accumulated.

Here are my all boys (minus Gatsby) outside of my friend's house. We attended her son's first birthday party. I'm surprised that the kids stopped for a picture given how wired they were. Fortunately, it was an hour-long drive home, so they got a nap in the car.
