Santa, Downward-Facing Dog, and Takedown

Last Sunday, we trekked out to Tyson's Corner to see their legendary Santa. After budgetary constraints a couple of years ago, this Santa was let go. But the efforts of many concerned Santa-enthusiasts and avid holiday shoppers brought him back. No, he's not imported from the North Pole, but he does come to us all the way from Tennessee. We paid a small fortune for a package of pictures that show how much our kids did not like sitting on a stranger's lap, but it was totally worth it.



Despite their expressions in the above photo, the boys loved the mall (they're definitely my kids). But I have to give credit to the split-level firetruck contraption that they very happily rode around in for three hours.



Also deserving a mention is the train that took them around the food court/cineplex area. Jeff enjoyed it as well.









Oh, and lest I forget...the escalators. The boys have an obsession with escalators (which they point out every day when we read Corduroy). Here we are on our hundredth trip down the escalator.



After a long day at the mall, followed by a nice nap in the car on the way home, they were very playful. In addition to spinning, they did yoga, and wrestled.
