Reading Daddy a bedtime story

This afternoon, I caught Drew "reading" a Berenstain Bears book to Henry. At this age, the boys are absorbing and retaining things like crazy -- songs, books, lines from videos, things Jeff and I say. Even their teacher told us that they were reminding her of details from class projects they worked on back in September. When it comes to books, they recite lines they remember, using the pictures as cues. It's pretty amazing how much they can store in their heads, because if you saw their bookshelves, you'd know how many books we read to them and how many stories they are memorizing.

Instead of Jeff reading to them tonight, Drew offered to read to him and Henry. Sticking with the Berenstain Bears, Drew selected and "read" Too Much TV.
