A warm fall day

It was in the low 60s this morning, so we spent a long time at the playground. Because we went later than usual, the boys were a little tired at first. Henry could have spent the entire time in the sandbox except that he kept getting sand in his eyes from wiping them so much. Drew, on the other hand, spent half an hour on the little plastic slide, despite catching his foot under himself every time he moved from the ladder to the slide.

They seem to have a consistent pattern at the playground. They start off in the sandbox, move to the little house and/or fire engine, make their way to the big kid slide, try out the teeter totter, then end with the swings, if they're available. Drew manages to squeeze in some car time while we're there, even though there are only one or two functional cars. Have I mentioned this playground is where plastic toys go to die? Pretty much all of the donated cars, push toys, and sandbox toys are broken in some way. Most are not dangerous, but it is frustrating trying to push your kids around in a car with only two working tires or use a rake with only two intact prongs.

Here are some pics from the sandbox, the big kid slide --- which they (and I) are becoming more comfortable with, and the monkey bars.

Drew thinks we should rename the sandbox, the 'leafbox'

Henry loves trucks

This toy has four wheels that work!

Too bad it doesn't move well through all the sand and leaves

Come on, Drew. Join me on the slide!

Henry, here I come! It's fun to do things together

This net bridge is getting easier for us to cross

But we still hold on tightly to the railing

Drew practices his pull-ups

How long until this stool is too small for the two of us?

What a cool park. I have never seen a park that has toys to play with too, even if they are broken LOL.

It looks like your boys have tons of fun there.
