The simple things

Yesterday, at the supermarket, Henry decided he wanted to try out the produce scale. I asked him if he wanted to weigh grapes. He said no. Strawberries? "No." Blueberries? "No." Lettuce? "No." Finally, I said, "you're losing me here, kiddo." He responded, "Monkey, Mommy. I want to weight Monkey." Oh, okay. I'm just glad he didn't want to hop on the scale himself.

This is how we entertain ourselves.

Later in the afternoon, we burned off some energy at the playground. Drew and Henry spent most of their time in the sandbox, playing with sticks. After digging a few "gopher holes to splash park," they started drawing in the sand. Jeff suggested they draw the letters he taught them last weekend. Looks like practice makes perfect.
